Community Partnerships
Working Together to Build Pathways to Stability
At Ann’s Heart Women’s Shelter, we believe that no single organization can meet every need of a woman experiencing homelessness. Lasting change happens when nonprofits, healthcare providers, housing organizations, businesses, faith communities, volunteers, government agencies, and community members work together toward a common goal.
Partnerships allow us to connect each guest with the specialized services, expertise, and opportunities that support her journey toward long-term stability.
A Collaborative Approach
Ann’s Heart provides safe shelter, individualized support, and a structured residential environment where women can begin rebuilding their lives. We also recognize that our guests often benefit from services provided by organizations with specialized expertise.
Rather than duplicating services already available in our community, we work collaboratively with partner organizations to help guests access the resources that best meet their individual needs.
This coordinated approach helps create a stronger network of care while making the best use of community resources.
Our Role
Ann’s Heart provides:
- Safe, welcoming emergency and residential shelter
- Individualized support and goal planning
- Daily residential support and encouragement
- Housing readiness and stabilization
- Coordination with community resources
- Ongoing communication with partner organizations, when appropriate and authorized by the guest
How Community Partners Help
Community partnerships strengthen our program by providing services such as:
- Healthcare and behavioral health services
- Domestic violence advocacy and survivor support
- Housing navigation and placement assistance
- Employment and workforce development
- Education and life skills programs
- Transportation resources
- Legal assistance
- Benefits navigation
- Financial education
- Substance use recovery services
- Food and basic needs resources
- Volunteer services and community engagement
Every partnership is different. Some organizations provide direct services to guests, while others support the shelter through donations, volunteer efforts, professional expertise, or shared resources.

Why Partnerships Matter
Women experiencing homelessness often face multiple challenges at the same time. Housing, healthcare, employment, transportation, financial stability, and emotional well-being are all interconnected.
By working together, community partners can help reduce barriers, improve coordination, and provide more comprehensive support than any one organization could offer alone.
Together, we create more opportunities for women to move from crisis toward long-term stability.
